The Alabama Crimson Tide received a verbal commitment from 4-star cornerback Khyree Jackson on Saturday.

Once again, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide have come out on top of a big-time recruiting battle. This time, they’ve gone to the junior college ranks to land an elite four-star cornerback.

Indeed, on Saturday East Mississippi Community College Khyree Jackson was the latest top recruit to commit to Alabama’s 2021 class. Throughout his recruitment, Jackson picked up 25 scholarships, but in the end, the thought of playing for the Tide was simply too much for him to pass up on.

Jackson, who will sign with Alabama in December, had additional offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, Maryland, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oregon and many others. With so much recruiting attention, his decision to verbal to Alabama has fans jumping for joy.

With Jackson now on board, Alabama is up to 18 commitments for its ’21 class. Even more impressive, 247Sports has Alabama ranked with the No. 2 recruiting class in the country and No. 1 in the SEC. That’s some serious bragging rights (for now) for Nick Saban over Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

The update of Jackson committing to Alabama wasn’t the only major news for Alabama on Saturday. Earlier in the day, 4-star defensive end Monkell Goodwine also pledged to ‘Bama.

He picked the Tide over additional offers from Arizona State, Clemson, Florida, Florida State and many others. Goodwine is ranked the No. 9 strong-side defensive end in the nation.

It should come as no surprise that Alabama continues to do so well out on the recruiting trail. With Saban leading the program, countless players dream of suiting up for the Tide. Come 2021, both Jackson and Goodwine will be ready to see those dreams come true.
