Ewers is the highest-rated player Tom Herman has ever landed as a coach and he’s the best player to pick the Longhorns since Vince Young opted to go to Texas two decades ago. Ewers is a transformative get for Texas.

With long blonde hair and a cannon, it’s totally reasonable Ewers draws comparisons as the next Trevor Lawrence. Heck, he might even have the strongest right arm in Texas since Patrick Mahomes. While he’ll need to put some weight on his frame, he has two more seasons of high school ball to get above the 200-pound threshold, carving up every high school team in Texas Southlake Carroll goes up against along the way.

You could spend an entire afternoon watching this one highlight of Ewers chucking it long. While anybody can attempt to throw the football far from out of the end zone, you’re not going to see a guy do it as effortlessly that far at that age.
