Marcell Ozuna takes issue with inside pitch from Marlins (Video)

Marcell Ozuna is not happy after the Marlins threw near his head.
Marcell Ozuna has been solid during his first season with the Atlanta Braves, but he was looking to use a matchup against the Miami Marlins to beef up his stats. Unfortunately for Ozuna, he almost ended up with a serious injury after a fastball nearly collided with his head.
Ozuna, who is hitting .247 with five home runs in his first season with Atlanta, almost went after Marlins pitcher Elieser Hernandez, who sports a 2.79 ERA through two MLB starts this season, after a Hernandez fastball drifted a little too close to Ozuna’s chin.
Hernandez threw near Marcell Ozuna and Adam Duvall
Ozuna thinks that Hernandez is trying to deliberately headhunt in this game. That theory gained a lot of steam when Hernandez also threw behind slugger Adam Duvall later in the contest. Once might be an accident, but twice?
Given the history with Jose Urena, especially against Ronald Acuña, Miami has a history of throwing at this team. It’s reasonable for Ozuna to assume that Hernandez’s chin music was deliberate and not the result of a lack of control.
If there is a silver lining in any of this, it’s the fact that Ozuna and everyone else involved was unharmed. If Hernandez made contact, he could’ve either injured Ozuna or started a massive brawl.
