The Minnesota Vikings need these players to step up if they want to make it to the playoffs again.

After a disappointing 2018 campaign, the Minnesota Vikings got back on track in 2019 and despite not winning the division, still made it into the playoffs and won a playoff game on the road.

This year, they’ll look to not only get back to the postseason, but to win their division as well. In order to do that, they’ll need these three players to up the ante as they look to improve upon their 2019 season.

3. Anthony Barr

Anthony Barr was a former top ten pick by the Vikings back in 2014 and they made a big investment by signing him to a five-year extension worth $67.5 million.

With all that dough, one would think Barr really did his part in 2019, but they would be mistaken. The former UCLA Bruin wasn’t bad, but he didn’t bring the kind of pop Minnesota was hoping for. He registered 1.5 sacks while notching one interception.

Barr did have a career high in tackles, however, with 79, so that was promising and he’ll need to take that even further in 2020 and beyond.
