Kobe Bryant ordered a martini with 81 olives after his legendary 81-point game.

Everyone has a weird tradition after they achieve a goal. Some of us go out for a nice dinner, others order an expensive piece of clothing. If you’re one of the greatest NBA players of all time, you order a drink with a funny twist.

According to former NBA player/ESPN broadcaster Jalen Rose, after Kobe Bryant dropped 81 points (on Rose and his Toronto Raptors, by the way) he watched as the Los Angeles Lakers legend ordered a post-game martini with 81 olives.

So classic.

There was another NBA post-game run-in on Monday

This memory is classic Kobe Bryant, who clearly relished his career high and the second highest-scoring game in NBA history. You’ve got to feel for Rose, who watched the Black Mamba drop 81 points on his head in the game and then had to see him drop 81 olives on his drink in a restaurant after the fact.

Rose recounting that story was sparked after two different NBA rivals experienced their own post-game run in. On Monday, video surfaced of Utah Jazz guard Donavan Mitchell running into Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray. Mitchell managed to score 57 points in the game against Murray while the Nuggets got the win, so thankfully their run-in was all fun and games.
