The Lakers superstar reunited with his high school teammates last summer for the unveiling of a basketball court at his I PROMISE School.

LeBron James has been committed to giving back to the city of Cleveland since his high school days. Even when he made his infamous “Decision” 10 years ago, James was determined to return to Ohio no matter how much backlash and criticism he received.

The 6-foot-9 forward did indeed come home to Cleveland in a huge way: not only did he deliver the first professional sports championship to the city in over half a century, but he also built an entire school called the I PROMISE School.

Although James is now looking forward to hopefully bring a title to Los Angeles, he’s still heavily involved in his school’s progress. Last summer, the 15-time All-Star opened a new basketball court with the help of some old comrades: the four other starters of the 2003 Saint Vincent-Saint Mary’s state championship team.

The other members of the “Fab Five” (named after the early 1990s University of Michigan squad) were Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce III, Willie McGee and Romeo Travis.

What is the rest of LeBron James’ high school squad doing now?

Cotton transitioned to a rap music career after attempting to play football at Ohio State University. He even had one of his songs, “Almost Home,” included in the video game “NBA 2K14.” James, the cover athlete and curator for the game, made sure to do his former teammate a favor with the song’s inclusion.

Joyce is an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator at Cleveland State University. He just wrapped up his first season in which he helped the Vikings to 11 victories.

McGee stayed involved in athletics in the Akron area, including stints as the Boys Basketball head coach of Akron East High School and the Saint Vincent-Saint Mary’s athletic director.

Finally, Travis runs a basketball camp with Joyce called the “Give’N Go Basketball Camps” in Akron. He also owns a website in which he sells shirts and other clothing items that he designs himself.
