3 teams who should trade for Desmond King after falling out of favor with Chargers

The Indianapolis Colts‘ secondary isn’t awful by any stretch, but they need that one big piece to help solidify the whole unit. Malik Hooker is solid, but injuries have prevented him from playing a full 16 games in any of his three seasons. Kenny Moore and Rock Ya-Sin both showed promise, with Moore even emerging as one of the league’s better slot corners, and are perfectly solid at their position, but they need that one King-sized star to take the unit to the next level.
Free-agent signing Xavier Rhodes was awful last season, Pro Bowl be damned. King, be it on the outside or in the slot, might actually have a higher floor than Rhodes despite his pedigree. Frank Reich and the offense have enough pieces to succeed thanks to Philip Rivers and the offensive line, but their defense, secondary included, is what will determine if the Colts can contend for a division title or if they’ll be relegated to the middle of the pack.
