Jazz players celebrate Game 2 win with quarantined Mike Conley

A quarantined Mike Conley is forced to celebrate the Utah Jazz’s Game 2 victory from a distance and the strangeness of bubble life continues
Life in the NBA Bubble has led to a number of unique moments, from players running into each other after a tightly contested playoff game to intense games of cornhole. Now, one can add a quarantined player celebrating his team’s playoff victory with his teammates through the windows of his hotel room.
Here, in Donovan Mitchell’s Instagram story, fans can see a quarantined Mike Conley standing at his window, smiling and giving thumbs-ups towards his teammate(s) who have certainly missed having him in the starting line-up these last few games.

Conley has been quarantined since returning to Orlando following a quick trip to Columbus to be with his wife, Mary, who had a baby boy on Sunday. His isolation from the team, while also being on the Orlando campus is one of those strange things that could only happen in a postseason such as this.
How long will the Jazz be without Mike Conley?
The Utah Jazz dominated the Denver Nuggets in the second game of their first-round series, winning 124-105 and tying the series. Leading the Jazz were Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson with 30 and 26 points respectively.
Conley could potentially be back for Game 3 on Friday, which should help the Jazz who have had to move Mitchell to point guard and start an untested Juwan Morgan at power forward in his absence. Of course, Mitchell has played outstandingly in the series’ first two games, so maybe bringing back Conley will only hold him back.
Regardless, the Jazz will be happy to have him back in the lineup whenever he returns and it will be nice for Conley to not have to be isolated from his teammates the next time the Jazz win.
