Stephen Curry is rocking cornrow braids for some bizarre reason (Video)

Steph Curry changes things up and rocks cornrows.
Stephen Curry hasn’t had this much time on his hands during the NBA Playoffs in quite some time, and he is now rocking a new hairdo.
The three-time NBA champion and two-time MVP is now rocking cornrows. In a video that has surfaced on social media, Curry has a clipper in one hand and his hair looks different. Along with his beard, Curry is seen rocking a cornrow-braids fade.
Is this the new hairdo that will dub him as “Cornrow Curry”?
If starting his own book club wasn’t time-consuming enough, Curry — with the extra time on his hands — is definitely showing some skill in the hair-grooming department. He more than likely had help, but not everyone is a fan of the six-time All-Star’s makeover.
Stephen Curry’s new hairdo choice is bizarre but incredible
”He need to take them out asap,” one person tweeted.
Another person jokingly felt concerned about Curry’s hairline.

”He pushing his hairline back to the middle of his head with these cornrows,” another account tweeted.
There is no telling what inspired Curry’s decision to change things up. Perhaps he is occupying himself during his vacation time from the postseason. This is the first season since the 2013-14 campaign where Curry won’t be participating in the NBA Finals. This is also the first time he has missed the postseason since the 2011-12 season.
In terms of inspiration, maybe Curry felt inspired to look like his doppelgänger Michael Ealy. The Golden Globe-nominated actor rocked braids in Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business and briefly in the pilot episode of Showtime’s Sleeper Cell.
Judging from the positive response Ealy received for rocking braids, perhaps he thought he too would get the same vibe. But in any case, as long as his wife Ayesha Curry diggs it, Curry may keep it for a while. Who knows, there may be some superstition with those braids and “Cornrow Curry” could be key to getting the Golden State Warriors back to relevancy to continue their golden age by becoming contenders again next season.
