Luka Doncic heated as things get chippy in Clippers-Mavs (Video)

Clippers-Mavs Game 3 just got heated, and Luka Doncic is at the center of it
After a Game 1 which featured Kristaps Porzingis (arguably unfairly) being ejected after receiving two technical fouls, the Mavericks and Clippers went approximately one basketball game before escalating tensions once again. Mavericks star Luka Doncic wasn’t a fan of Montrezl Harrell’s so-called flop, and wasn’t afraid to tell him such.
Doncic was called for a personal on that play, and replay showed he did make some contact with Harrell, albeit rather lite. Whether that warranted a foul is questionable, but in the modern NBA a gust of wind would make for a justifiable flagrant.
Montrezl Harrell did not react well to Doncic calling him out
Harrell took Luka’s challenge personally, and not only stopped flopping, but directed insults at the Spanish star. Just a few plays later, Harrell scored a bucket and talked smack at Doncic which was caught on TNT’s broadcast.
The Clippers received an unlucky draw in playing the Mavs in the first-round, as they’re arguably the most elite offensive team in these playoffs. As we saw in Game 2, Dallas felt they were slighted in Game 1 with Porzingis’ ejection, and backed up that claim in a big way.
The last thing Los Angeles needs is a further-motivated Doncic, who can single-handedly take over a series the same way Kawhi Leonard or Paul George can. Consider this latest challenge by Harrell just another storyline in a series that’s been full of them thus far.
