Mitchell Trubisky is teasing Bears fans with this throw at camp (Video)
Mitchell Trubisky is teasing fans with some great throws at training camp.
Position battles across the NFL are taking place in relative secrecy due to the lack of preseason games in 2020. A team like the Chicago Bears will choose a starting quarterback based on training camp alone and that may have some fans worried.
Mitchell Trubisky is in a battle with Nick Foles for the starting job and all we have to go off in terms of evaluation are video clips from camp. A recent clip showed Trubisky dropping a perfect pass into the hands of one of his young tight ends.

Mitchell Trubisky needs to be great for the Bears to return to the playoffs
Bears fans may do a double-take while watching that video and think Adam Shaheen is back. The new No. 87 is actually Jesper Horsted. He had eight receptions and a touchdown with the Bears last season.
Plenty of jokes have been made about Trubisky made his debut in 2017. He has missed easy throws and also has a tendency to not see wide-open receivers. That is why the team went out and got Foles three years after drafting Trubisky at No. 2 overall.
Trubisky has still managed to eclipse the 3,000-yard mark in each of his past two seasons and threw for 17 touchdowns in 2019. The Bears regressed and the quarterback took a ton of the blame.
The starting quarterback decision will be monumental for both Trubisky and the Bears organization. Going with the fourth-year player brings up the question of whether he deserves a new contract right away. Conversely, going with Foles essentially means the Bears blew it by drafting Trubisky and may want to trade him before his contract is up at the end of the year.
Training camp is always a time of hope and hype. Now the Bears have to make sure they make the right decision. Trubisky dropping dimes every day may help make that final decision.
