3. WR Harold Carmichael

He’s a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Centennial Class of 2020. Wide receiver Harold Carmichael spent the vast majority of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles after being selected in the third round of the 1971 NFL Draft.

“I love to catch the ball too much to fall back.” (via the Pro Football Hall of Fame). “For me, there’s nothing as great as catching the football. I feel like every time the ball is thrown my way, I’ll do whatever it takes to catch it, even if I have to tear it right out of a defensive back’s hands.”

The former Southern University product still owns the Eagles’ franchise records for receptions (589), receiving yards (8,985) and total touchdowns (79) – the latter all through the air. He was a four-time Pro Bowler with Philadelphia and three times topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark.

At one time, Carmichael owned the NFL record for most consecutive games with at least one reception. That streak spanned 127 games from 1972-80 and ended in Dallas on the final week of the 1980 regular season. Ironically, his final year in the NFL came with the Cowboys in 1984 where he played only two games and caught one pass.
