6.Ā Bijan Robinson – Texas Longhorns running back

The Texas Longhorns are falling under the radar much more than they were last season. Just about everyone was saying that Oklahoma’s biggest rival finally had a roster and coaching staff that could compete for the Big 12 Title. Instead, they ended up three games back of the lead when the season was over. It was a massive disappointment.

Now, the Longhorns have a ton of new talent coming in, Sam Ehlinger is back under center looking to make up for what was lost last season, and the number one running back in the nation signed in Austin. Bijan Robinson is going into a crowded running back room, but he is the most talented of the bunch right now.Ā Keaontay Ingram andĀ Roschon Johnson are both players who are going to get their reps, but Robinson will have the biggest impact.

Head coach Tom Herman already said Robinson is going to play right away. That isn’t even in question. How much he’s going to play will depend on how fast he can take in the offense in such a strange season.

Robinson has the most yards and career touchdowns in the history of Arizona high school football. He’s built like a college running back who was just waiting until he was eligible to play. In the Big 12, Robinson will be able to dominate right away. If he was playing in the SEC, where the defensive lines are the best in the country, he might have a little more struggles. However, he’s going to have bigger holes to run through. Even when he doesn’t, he can move on a dime to cut to the right area. Chubba Hubbard might be looking at the next rushing leader when these two face off.
