Scouting Report. East. 2.. Pick Analysis. NFC. Washington Football Team. player. 58

The Washington Football Team is by no means contending for a playoff berth this season. Head coach Ron Rivera is inheriting a borderline elite defensive front, but the offense leaves a lot to be desired. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins is looking to bounce back from a horrific rookie campaign, and his current receiving corps does him no favors whatsoever.

Terry McLauren is the certified top receiving option for Washington, but behind him are zero impact players. Steven Sims Jr., Dontrelle Inman, Trey Quinn and Antonio Gandy-Golden are the top options behind Haskins’ former teammate. Washington can fix that problem by signing Sanu.

Not only is Sanu the veteran presence that Washington needs, but he has a rapport with Haskins. Sanu was actually Haskins’ coach in Pop Warner football and mentored the future Washington quarterback ahead of his journey to the NFL. The move makes too much sense not to happen. The chemistry could do wonders for Washington’s offense, which looks dire as of this writing.
