Good news has arrived for the New Orleans Saints, as Alvin Kamara is returning to practice on Wednesday.

New Orleans Saints fans went into panic mode on Tuesday, as it was reported star running back Alvin Kamara had been missing from practice, and that the team was also open to trading him if he continued to holdout.

What in the world? With the season so close to getting underway, losing Kamara would have been a major blow for Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints offense. Fortunately for head coach Sean Payton, it doesn’t look like things will end up going in that direction.

On Wednesday, it’s been reported Kamara and Payton had a great talk to settle some things. That solid conversation has led to the standout speedster returning to practice with his teammates.

Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints will continue to discuss a long-term deal

Kamara had missed practices recently, as he’s become growingly frustrated with his contract situation in New Orleans. One of the best running backs in the league, Kamara is hoping to land an extension from the Saints in the near future.

For now, it appears that Payton has helped clear the air a bit and his starting running back will look to help the Saints chase their dreams of getting back to the Super Bowl this season. Kamara will obviously play a major role in if that happens or not.

Last season, he was selected to his third consecutive Pro Bowl after rushing for 797 yards and five touchdowns. A beast catching the ball too, Kamara added 81 receptions for 533 yards and one more score.

There’s no question he’s deserving of a new deal from the Saints, we just need to wait and see when the front office makes that happen.

Next. If the Saints trade Alvin Kamara it effectively ends Drew Brees’ career. dark
