With Oklahoma Memorial Stadium not being fully open this year, the Sooners will sell fan cutouts for all their home games this campaign.

Things just aren’t going to feel the same in Norman this year. While it was announced that 25% of Oklahoma Sooners fans will be able to cheer on Lincoln Riley’s players for the 2020 season inside of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, there’s still going to be more than 50,000 empty seats.

Knowing this, Oklahoma has joined Texas with the idea of allowing fans to purchase their own personalized cutouts to be showcased at the stands for whenever the Sooners are in action. If you want to make this happen, it will cost you $50 with proceeds benefitting the Sooner Relief Fund.

Fans must get their orders placed by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and they’ll be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cutouts will be placed in the sideline areas behind the team benches.

Oklahoma begins its 2020 season on Sept. 12 with a showdown against Missouri State

Oklahoma announced the new fan idea on Wednesday, while also making it clear that all of the proceeds brought in will be going to help the Sooner Relief Fund. So, not only will you be supporting the program, but your money would be going straight to a great cause as well.

For Oklahoma, the Big 12 powers are getting ready for their season to get underway against Missouri State on Sept. 12. In that matchup, redshirt freshman signal-caller Spencer Rattler will be making his starting debut, with Riley officially announcing him as the starter on Tuesday.

Rattler appeared in three games last year, studying behind former Sooners quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is now with the Philadelphia Eagles. An Arizona native, Rattler is a former 5-star signal-caller and will have high expectations leading into the new season. He’s even considered a dark horse contender for the Heisman Trophy.

While the stands at the stadium won’t be packed to support him and his teammates, a cutout surely is a fun option to make your presence felt each Saturday.
