25. Week 15 – Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Saints

Mark this on your calendar for one colossal reason.

If the Chiefs and Saints do not both reach Super Bowl LV, this will be the only time NFL history that Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes go toe-to-toe. There is a strong sense that 2020 is a farewell tour for Brees, although it has not been expressly announced.

If that is accurate, though, this game will be passing-records-present versus passing-records-future. Brees currently owns most major passing records. With a clean bill of health, Patrick Mahomes should meet and exceed these marks in about 15 years.

Oh, and if you want this to be a Super Bowl preview — it can be that, too.

26. Week 15 – Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

The Philip Rivers Experiment in Indianapolis will pan out in one of two ways: The Colts offensive line will protect Rivers per the plan or his 2019 performance will prove not to be an outlier. The Colts immediate future depends on the outcome of this ultimatum.

If everything in Indianapolis fits together, they should be in line for a 10-6 or 11-5 season. That would put them in a dogfight with the Texans and Titans for the AFC South crown.

Insert this Week 15 matchup. The Colts will host the rival Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium with control of the AFC South perhaps up for grabs.
