Per usual for Week 1 of the season, there will be four standalone games. The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will be laying a whopping 10 points at home to the visiting Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football. This is a rematch of the AFC Divisional Round game that saw the Texans blow a 24-point lead on the road at Arrowhead and lose in epic fashion.

Sunday Night Football comes as no surprise, as the Dallas Cowboys will venture to brand-new SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Rams. “America’s Team” is laying 2.5 points on the road against a Rams team that is only two years removed from playing in the Super Bowl. It’s a testament to how quickly things can change in the unforgiving sport of professional football.

The first game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader will be in East Rutherford, New Jersey, as the New York Giants will be three-point home dogs to the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. In the last game of the opening week, the Tennessee Titans will make the trek to Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos, who will be laying three points in a clash of AFC contending teams.

Whatever point spread you decide to wager on, be thankful that some NFL action back in our lives.
