Trevor Bauer did not hold back going against Major League Baseball in a string of social media posts.

Cincinnati Reds hurler Trevor Bauer is no stranger to letting his feelings known on Twitter. Time and time again, he’s gotten in plenty of social media wars, and has also called out Major League Baseball more than once.

That continued this week. On Monday, Cut4, MLB’s official site, tweeted out a photo of a player wearing some pretty cool In-N-Out Burger cleats. However, it’s written clearly in the rules that player can’t wear cleats that promote a brand or entity.

Bauer is so fired up because he wanted to wear cleats earlier this summer that had “Free Joe Kelly” on them to show his support for the Dodgers pitcher after he was suspended for throwing at multiple Astros players. MLB said he was forbidden from wearing them. Now, Bauer wants to know what’s up, and blasted the league in the process.

Trevor Bauer was told he’d be suspended if he wore his Free Joe Kelly cleats earlier this summer

As you can see from his tweets, Bauer is furious with the league and called them out pretty aggressively. When he was told he couldn’t wear his Kelly cleats, Bauer said he was also told he’d be ejected from the game if he took the field in them and would be suspended as well.

In Bauer’s eyes, he thinks it’s quite hypocritical that he’s not allowed to wear his own cleats, but MLB can promote another player wearing gear that clearly features In-N-Out Burger.

Bauer strongly believes there’s a double-standard being set right now and he’s not a fan of that whatsoever. Knowing how he behaves on Twitter, don’t be surprised if he keeps going after the league in the near future too and doesn’t let this slide.
