The Jaguars are selling off all their key pieces entering the 2020 NFL season, and it appears they are making a run at Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

The 2020 NFL season will kick off on Thursday, as the Kansas City Chiefs play host to the Houston Texans in a Divisional Round matchup from last season. With that said, it is time to kick off our weekly mock drafts, and we get it started with the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting the No. 1 quarterback available.

We used the draft order at tankathon.com for this mock draft.

52. . Quarterback. Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence. 1. player

It is no big surprise that the Jacksonville Jaguars are planning for the future, as they have been trading away key pieces leading up to Week 1. Last season, the franchise rallied around quarterback Gardner Minshew, who stepped in for an injured Nick Foles early on, and played way better than his draft slot.

However, there is no way the Jags pass up on Clemson star Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick, especially after trading away so many assets. Lawrence is a guy who has star written all over him, and the Jaguars need someone to lead them through their rebuild immediately.

58. . Quarterback. Washington Commanders. Justin Fields. 2. player

The Washington Football Team is another team that is looking to rebuild their roster, and they made a great move by hiring Ron Rivera as head coach this offseason. He is a guy who is going to change the culture surrounding this franchise, and his hire could not come soon enough due to everything happening within that building.

With the No. 2 overall pick, the Redskins bring in another Ohio State quarterback, selecting Justin Fields to take over for Dwayne Haskins at the helm of the offense. This is a special talent who can make plays with his arm, and his legs, and he just does not make mistakes, throwing for 45 touchdowns against only three interceptions in his career.

56. . Offensive Tackle. Cincinnati Bengals. Penei Sewell. 3. player

After selecting LSU star Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals use the No. 3 overall pick in 2021 to protect him. A few years back, the team selected Jonah Williams in the first round, and he will be their left tackle in 2020, but help is needed on the other side.

Enter Penei Sewell, who recently stated he will opt out of the 2020 college football season and start getting ready for the 2021 NFL Draft. Sewell is widely regarded as the best offensive tackle prospect in this draft class, and teaming with Williams, gives the Bengals offensive line two young and talented tackles for the foreseeable future.
