87. . Quarterback. Carolina Panthers. Trey Lance. 4. player

The Carolina Panthers made some big changes within their organization this offseason, replacing quarterback Cam Newton with Teddy Bridgewater, and head coach Ron Rivera with Matt Rhule. Heading into 2020, they could struggle in a very tough NFC South, one that saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers replace Jameis Winston with Tom Brady.

Staying with the quarterbacks, Bridgewater is a bit of a Wild Card, as he has not been a full-time starter for some time now. If the Panthers are picking this high in 2021, the season was a bust, and the team would not be able to pass up on North Dakota State’s Trey Lance to be their franchise quarterback moving forward.

player. 31. . Linebacker. New York Giants. Micah Parsons. 5

The New York Giants have a new head coach in town in 2020, as Joe Judge will make his debut at the position at the NFL level. He comes to New York after winning a few rings on Bill Belichick’s coaching staff in New England, and has also shown himself to be a no-nonsense type of guy.

With the No. 5 overall pick in 2021, he adds a dominant defensive player to the mix, selecting the best linebacker in this draft class, Penn State’s Micah Parsons. This is a kid who has already opted out of the college football season to prepare for the draft, and I just do not see him falling out of the top-5.

Edge. Miami Dolphins. Gregory Rousseau. 6. player. 59.

The Miami Dolphins stay close to home with the No. 6 overall pick, selecting the talented edge rusher, Gregory Rousseau out of Miami (FL). Rousseau, like many other top prospects, has already opted out of the 2020 college football season, but NFL scouts have seen enough of him on tape to make him a top-10 pick next April.

For Miami, he would be joining a team that is definitely building for the future, but will go with the veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick under center over rookie Tua Tagovailoa to start the season. It could be another long year in South Beach, so a top-10 pick could be in the cards, and Rousseau is the best edge rusher this draft class has to offer.
