Aaron Rodgers is playing like a man possessed to bench Jordan Love
Aaron Rodgers has been on absolute fire in the Week 1 showdown against the Vikings and is sending a message in the process.
Was there any doubt Aaron Rodgers would come out looking like an absolute stud against the Minnesota Vikings to open the season? Seriously, anyone thinking he’d let the Packers selecting Jordan Love in the first round of the NFL Draft have a negative impact on his play was beyond foolish.
Rodgers has proven that on Sunday, as he’s in the middle of a spectacular showing against the Vikings. Just how good has he been? As of this writing, Rodgers has thrown for 308 yards and four touchdowns midway through the fourth quarter, with him and Davante Adams showcasing why they’re one of the best duos in the game.
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams have connected for two touchdowns already on Sunday
Rodgers has been dicing up the Minnesota defense, who really have no answer for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Rodgers is making things look easy, throwing dime after dime into the end zone.
This includes a 24-yard toss to Adams at the pylon in the first half. Adams is really having a monster game, currently at 13 receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. He even dropped a touchdown in the first half, but has bounced back in a monster way. Rodgers keeps on feeding him the pigskin. He trusts him more than anyone else on the field and for good reason.
Throughout the offseason, there was plenty of outside noise from haters claiming Rodgers was on borrowed time as the starter because of Love being in Green Bay? Really? The thought of Rodgers struggling because of how the team decided to draft was insane.
He’s got one of the best arms in the game and will only keep tearing up opposing defenses as long as he’s wearing a Packers jersey. Unfortunately for the Vikings, they’re all too familiar with how Rodgers plays when he’s motivated. No one is going to feel sorry for them, though.
