Jamal Adams may still have some friends inside the Jets organization, but his most recent comments make it clear he’s happy to be with the Seahawks.

The Jets didn’t win a lot of games during Jamal Adams’ tenure with the franchise. Many of those losses were due to the offense’s inability to light up the scoreboard. It’s safe to say Adams enjoyed his new offense’s 38-point outburst in Week 1.

The Seahawks defeated the Falcons with ease in their opener. Russell Wilson and his offensive teammates gave their defense 38 points to work with one the afternoon. After the game, reporters asked Adams what he thought about watching an offense put up that kind of production.

He simply replied that he wasn’t “used” to watching that kind of thing. Adams’ deadpan response was a clear shot at his former teammates with the Jets. More specifically, it was an effort to troll Sam Darnold and the other member of his former team’s offense.

The Jets, for the record, only managed to put up 17 points in their loss to the Bills this week. Darnold started the game horrifically before salvaging a decent performance by improving his play in the second half. The upgrade at quarterback from Darnold to Watson is still going to be a pleasure for Adams to watch all season long.

In fairness, not many Seahawks defenders are used to watching their offense march up and down the field either. This season’s opening game was an encouraging sign for fans in Seattle who want to see Wilson and the offense empowered to take more chances. Head coach Pete Carroll has been criticized for keeping things too conservative for the offense in recent seasons.

Next. Seahawks are bringing back another weapon for Russell Wilson. dark

Seattle fans should enjoy watching Adams play and listening to his interviews this season. He is entertaining on both fronts. The Seahawks gain will continue to be the Jets’ loss for the foreseeable future.
