Tottenham face Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Premier League season kicks off over the weekend. On Sunday, Tottenham host Everton. Both clubs are coming off of disappointing seasons. Spurs got off to a terrible start but rallied to finish sixth last season. While Everton finished 12th.
Tottenham have had a busy transfer window, bringing in five players. The two biggest signings were Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who should both improve the Spurs midfield. Tottenham’s attack will continue to go through Harry Kane. The striker has been one of the most prolific goal scorers in the Premier League since he earned a starting position. Outside of Kane, Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura, and Steven Bergwijn will play a key role on the wing. All three players should create goal-scoring chances whenever they are given a chance to play.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti identified what he believed was the biggest problem with his team and spent the summer upgrading it. The Toffees signed midfielders James Rodriguez, Allan, and Abdoulaye Doucoure. The moves strengthen Everton’s midfield, giving the club more creative players in midfield. However, Everton did not upgrade their defenders after conceding the eight most goals last season. That decision could prove costly for the Toffees. If Everton are going to finish in the top half of the table, they will have to be much better defensively than they were a season ago.
