Georgia football’s latest hype video will have Dawgs fans jacked up (Video)
By John Buhler
This Georgia football hype video has us all excited for future Saturdays.
If you needed a little boost to get fired up for some Georgia football, go watch this hype video.
It’s only 30 or so seconds of the Georgia Bulldogs’ offense practicing, but the guys featured in this video look particularly sharp. While it doesn’t feature the big names of note like transfer quarterback JT Daniels, running back Zamir White or wide receiver George Pickens, you can understand why Georgia is such a good football team. The Dawgs are so incredibly deep.
We must believe this Georgia football offense will soar under Todd Monken.
The quarterbacks featured in this video are freshman Carson Beck and potentially the Week 1 starter vs. the Arkansas Razorbacks in D’Wan Mathis. It looks like they can really spin it. If you were paying attention to the jerseys in the jersey number game, you definitely saw the No. 4 jersey flash a time or two. I’m not saying James Cook will have a big year, but he’ll have a big year.
The younger brother of Minnesota Vikings superstar running back Dalvin Cook, James Cook looks to carve out his own legacy in the Classic City playing alongside White in what might be one of the best backfields in the country. With Todd Monken taking over the play-calling duties on offense, perhaps the Dawgs will join the rest of us in the 21st century when it comes to offensive viability?
It has been the elephant in the room for the Dawgs for the entirety of the Kirby Smart era. The defense has been championship-caliber since 2017, yet the offense has had its issues throughout most of it. With a former NFL offensive coordinator keen on moving the sticks aerially, look for Daniels, or even Mathis, to give the Dawgs one of the better passing offenses in the SEC in 2020.
Given that they are playing a 10-game, conference-only schedule, Georgia will lose at least one regular-season game this fall. The only team in the SEC that has a chance of going undefeated is the Alabama Crimson Tide, but even they will likely drop a game. What it really comes down to for the Dawgs is if they can hold their own offensively if asked to play a ball game from behind.
It may not have featured well-known stars, but the Dawgs’ latest hype video did the trick.
