The Clippers and Nuggets face off in a winner-take-all Game 7

The Clippers are on the verge of history, and not for the good reasons. After holding a 3-1 advantage over the Denver Nuggets, they’ve lose two straight games to Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and Co. With a loss on Tuesday night, they’ll head home from the NBA Bubble empty-handed.

While it’s a stretch to say Kawhi Leonard’s legacy is in the balance (looking at you, First Take fans), the Klaw has an opportunity to send the Clippers to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in their history. Helping the Raptors win their one and only NBA Title was a great accomplishment, but doing so with the Clippers — perhaps the worst franchise in NBA history — would be an achievement in itself.

Denver, meanwhile, is playing with house money. Jokic has been on fire the past two games, and if Murray can put together another elite performance of his own the Nuggets have confidence and recent history on their side. They’ve done this before, having come back from the same deficit against the Utah Jazz in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
