DraftKings fantasy golf picks: U.S. Open 2020
Best DraftKings U.S. Open picks and lineups
Rather than offering just one DraftKings U.S. Open lineup, we’re going to look at two strategies for lineup building that you might use and then offer what I believe is the best lineup for his week at Winged Foot.
Stars and Scrubs
- Jon Rahm, $11,000
- Xander Schauffele, $10,100
- Tommy Fleetwood, $8,900
- Mackenzie Hughes, $6,900
- Sebastian Munoz, $6,600
- Joel Dahmen, $6,400
Going with a stars and scrubs approach for the U.S. Open may be appealing due to the fact that the best players in the world show up big for major championships. Getting Rahm for $500 less than Dustin Johnson was attractive and Fleetwood being under $9,000 was helpful. The key for this lineup is the sub-$7,000 players both making the cut and scoring.
Mid-Tier Load-Up
- Tony Finau, $9,100
- Tommy Fleetwood, $8,900
- Patrick Reed, $8,500
- Tyrell Hatton, $8,100
- Matthew Wolff, $7,700
- Louis Oosthuizen, $7,600
Contrary to stars and scrubs, a major championship field could make you feel more comfortable finding top-tier players in many other tournaments at a lower price point. In that case, you can build a lineup such as this. There is win equity here, though some variance. Still, this feels like a lineup you can hope to place with in your DraftKings tournaments.

Getting Schauffele in this lineup is something I believe is critical. He’s my pick to win and all the signs point to that being a real possibility. But beyond him, this lineup has plenty of win equity elsewhere while also having a high floor. Hughes is the key to finishing incredible well in a given tournament DFS contest but the combination of floor and elite upside leaves me here.
