Jeremy Lin making one last run at the NBA
By Mike Luciano
Jeremy Lin is coming back to the NBA.
At 31 years old with declining health, it seemed as though Jeremy Lin’s wild NBA career was drawing to a close after the end of the 2018-19 season. Lin himself seemed to confirm as much when he chose to go overseas and play for the Beijing Ducks in China. While Lin could’ve stayed in China and dominated, he thinks that he has enough gas left in the tank for one more NBA run.
Lin confirmed in a video message that while he was treated well by his Chinese club, he will not be returning to Beijing next season, as he is going to try and secure one last offer in the NBA.

Jeremy Lin never matched his initial “Linsanity” success, but he has had a solid NBA career
The former Harvard star finally got his chance to play with the New York Knicks in 2012, and the “Linsanity” movement became one of the must-see attractions in the NBA. Lin averaged 14.6 points and 6.2 assists per game, but the momentum fizzled out after he left New York for the Houston Rockets as a free agent. After two solid, if unspectacular, seasons in Houston, Lin embarked on a weird journeyman career that often saw him star as a featured scorer on bad teams like the Lakers, Hornets, and Nets.
The last time we saw Lin in the NBA, he won a championship as one of Kyle Lowry’s backup point guards with the Toronto Raptors. Lin started the season off strong with Beijing and even helped the Ducks advance in the postseason, but he won’t stick around to try and help them win a title next season.
Even as his playing time diminished in Toronto, Lin showed that he can be a more than capable backup point guard on a contending team. If Lin’s shooting and penetration are still up to par, NBA heavyweights shouldn’t think twice about signing him.
