With Big Ten football reportedly returning in late October, members of the Michigan Wolverines expressed their excitement for the upcoming season.
The Big Ten is now set to resume its football season in late October, per ESPN, a reversal of the conference’s August decision to postpone due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the Michigan Wolverines were quick to express their support for the decision, taking to Twitter to hype up fans.
Michigan football shared a hype video via Twitter on Wednesday, urging fans and players to “Stay Positive, Test Negative,” and celebrating the Wolverines’ eventual return to the field in just over a month.

What else did the Michigan football program have to say on Twitter?
Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel also released a statement praising the conference’s decision and assuring fans that he believes in the conference’s plan to identify COVID cases and mitigate the spread of the virus within the locker room.

Coaches and administrators were not the only Wolverines who were thrilled with the Big Ten’s decision, though. Plenty of Michigan players expressed their support on Twitter as well, often indirectly.

While Michigan was not hurt too much by opt-outs, running back Christian Turner could reconsider his decision now, although that seems somewhat unlikely given that he made his decision hours before the Big Ten officially postponed its season.
However, it appears that excitement abounds within the Wolverines program as the 2020 Big Ten season gets set to resume. Jim Harbaugh’s team still needs to overcome the Ohio State Buckeyes if it hopes to make noise in the conference, and while that game remains far down the line, it appears that the players are eager to get back to the Big House.
