Marcus Smart was heard screaming at someone in the locker room after the Celtics Game 2 loss to the Heat.

The Boston Celtics fell down 2-0 to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals and Marcus Smart is not happy about it.

Multiple NBA reporters described Smart screaming in the locker room after the Celtics 106-101 loss to the Heat.

Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe shared some of Smart’s more colorful language.

Malika Andrews of ESPN added that “there were loud clanks — like someone throwing items — coming from the Celtics’ locker room.”

Marcus Smart is yelling and the Celtics are “imploding” after Game 2 loss.

Smart’s emotional reaction came in the wake of a difficult loss for Boston. After giving up a lead in Game 1, the Celtics did it again on Thursday night.

They led by as much as 17 in the first half and held a 13-point advantage at halftime.

The third quarter was a disaster for Boston. They were outscored 37-17, not only letting the Heat back into the game but giving them a lead going into the fourth.

Smart went 5-for-13, scoring 14 points with four rebounds, four assists and four turnovers, so it’s not like he was out there tearing it up while being completely let down by his teammates. Still, it wasn’t a good night for many of them.

While Kemba Walker put up 23 points and Jason Tatum tossed in 21, they were -10 and -11 on the floor respectively.

In one respect, Celtics fans can hold up Smart as someone trying to light a fire under the team.

However, there has got to be a better way to do that than throwing what appears to be a tantrum in the locker room. Throwing things doesn’t feel like the most constructive way to confront teammates, if they need confronting at all.

“Guys were emotional after a hard game — hard loss,” head coach Brad Stevens admitted.

That might be an understatement.
