Week 2 of the fantasy football season is here and several matchups stand out after one week of play.

Week 1 of any fantasy football season is always tricky. Stars from the past may stumble out of the gates while rookies and relative unknowns begin their respective rises to stardom.

That pesky first week is out of the way and it provided us with evidence of who to start in Week 2. Let’s take a look at 10 players to start this week given their favorable matchups.

Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns

Chubb had a quiet start to the season on Sunday. He was only handed the ball 10 times, but did still finish with 60 yards. Kareem Hunt got more work out of the backfield with 13 carries for 72 yards.

The game was a blowout at halftime and the strategy may have been to keep the young star fresh for a quick turnaround this Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals. That is a team missing two defensive tackles in Geno Atkins and Mike Daniels.

The strategy has to be to run the ball nonstop with Chubb and Hunt. Chubb is still the lead back who rushed for almost 1,500 yards last season so he gets the nod over Hunt in terms of fantasy value this week.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

The rookie running back ran wild for the Chiefs in Week 1 against a solid Houston Texans defense. The Chiefs offense was already unstoppable without a star runner and Edwards-Helaire still managed to rush for 138 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.

The Chiefs are now set for a matchup against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that held Joe Mixon to 69 yards on 19 carries. However, they did allow Joe Burrow to run for 46 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs are on a whole different level than the Bengals and Edwards-Helaire will only be slowed down if Andy Reid forgets about him in the offense, which won’t happen. A few receptions will boost his value as well.
