Trevor Lawrence playing The Citadel is really unfair and he shouldn’t be allowed to make these types of throws vs. an inferior opponent.
This college football season is going to be weird. The stadiums won’t look how they normally look, the tailgating lots won’t look like they normally look. The schedules don’t look normal and the on-field play may look a little sloppy to start the year.
However, one thing that’s the same as it’s always been is Trevor Lawrence is a certified dime dispenser.
The Clemson quarterback showed off all the skills and talent that’s going to make him the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft next spring in the season opener vs. Wake Forest last week.
He’s off to a great start vs. The Citadel today, throwing an absolute money throw that some NFL quarterbacks would love to be able to make.
On this 17-yard touchdown strike to Frank Ladson Jr., Lawrence showed the perfect touch and accuracy that resulted in six points for the Clemson Tigers.

He did it again a few moments later with a 44-yard toss to Amari Rodgers to give Clemson an insurmountable 14-0 lead a little more than five minutes in.

Trevor Lawrence has been blessed by the football gods and has been sent to us to witness the amazing spirals that come out of his right arm
I can already hear the haters screaming at their screens saying, “BuT iT’s AgAiNsT tHe CiTaDeL.” and my reply is, “what’s your point?”
Of course, the level of competition isn’t what he’ll face later in this season or in the College Football Playoff when teams like Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia will present much stiffer challengers. And he’ll never face this much of an inferior opponent when he’s a Day 1 starter in the NFL, but it doesn’t matter, these kinds of throws are immaculate and it’s why teams have been in awe of him since his freshman season when he threw a record 30 touchdowns for a freshman and led Clemson to a national championship over Tua Tagovailoa and Alabama.
