A Mitchell Trubisky comeback in MoTown is a Week 1 storyline very few of us saw coming. As I was preparing to write his eulogy, Trubisky engineered a 20-plus point come-from-behind victory in Detroit to not only given Chicago its first win of the season, but allow him to keep his job as well. All was well in the Windy City this week, and Matt Nagy’s gameplan continues to be built around Trubisky and the run game. With the Allen Robinson drama behind them (or so Ryan Pace hopes), the Bears move forward as a cohesive unit with one goal: NFC North supremacy.

The Giants future, meanwhile, is a little more murky. New York lost their Monday Night Football debut to the Pittsburgh Steelers as most pundits expected, but they surprisingly looked more than capable at points. Despite having no running game with Saquon Barkley (Ben Roethlisberger had more rush hards), Daniel Jones and Co. were one tipped interception away from making things very interesting against the Steelers.

When that 97-yard drive fell to the wayside, so did the Giants chances at pulling off any sort of upset. Nonetheless, the Giants upside shouldn’t ignore their flaws, which was primarily the fact that they gave up over 100 yards to Benny Snell — a little-known backup to James Conner. If Snell can run all over this Giants defense, so can Tarik Cohen. Add in New York’s shoddy offensive line and it could be a long, long day for the Giants and Judge.
