The Week 2 edition of Sunday Night Football will be headlined by a battle between two of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL. Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks host the New England Patriots and new quarterback Cam Newton. The two quarterbacks have faced off eight times in their careers, with Wilson earning six wins to Newton’s two.

Normally, being the road team inside CenturyLink Field is a nightmare due to how loud the Seahawks fanbase can get. However, there will be no fans in attendance on Sunday due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus in the United States.

What to watch for in Seahawks-Patriots matchup

Last week, Wilson had an MVP-caliber game against the Atlanta Falcons. Wilson completed 31-of-35 pass attempts for 322 yards and four touchdowns against Atlanta’s porous pass defense. But he won’t have as easy of a matchup this week, as he faces a New England pass defense that recorded three interceptions against the Miami Dolphins.

Newton, on the other hand, defeated the Dolphins with his arm and his feet. The former NFL MVP winner completed 15-of-19 passes for 155 yards, while rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Newton might have some luck through the air, as this Seahawks secondary surrendered 450 passing yards to Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. As for Seattle’s rush defense, they surrendered 72 yards on the ground to six different ball-carriers. Will Cam run loose on Sunday, or will Seattle be able to hold him behind the line of scrimmage?
