2. RB Dion Lewis, NYG

If you miss out on Mike Davis, then this is the next best option (and the best season-long option). Dion Lewis is going to be a hot add, especially for owners of Saquon Barkley. Lewis will take the reigns of the New York Giants RB room moving forward following Barkley’s torn ACL in the loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The former Patriots running back will have his best opportunity for serious playing time since his times in New England as the No. 1 for the rest of the season.

Lewis’ measurables in the passing game make him a great addition to any team this season as the Giants will be down and fighting their way back in most games. In his outing Sunday, Lewis had 11 carries for 21 yards, a rushing touchdown, as well as four catches through the air for 36 yards. A solid day of production after being thrown in with more than half of the game to go.

As Lewis gets more reps, expect him to be successful. Buyers beware, however, as the offensive line for the Giants remains their weak spot to this point and certainly will be a problem moving forward with a lesser talented back than Barkley back there.

Still, claim him if you are unable to get Davis. He could give you longtime value, even when McCaffrey returns.
