The terrible injury news continues to come in for Vic Fangio and the Denver Broncos.

The Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers continues to sting for the Denver Broncos. That’s because the team is dealing with multiple concerning injuries that have to have head coach Vic Fangio and the rest of the Denver coaching staff scratching their heads.

Not only did Drew Lock go down with a shoulder injury, but star wide receiver Courtland Sutton also injured his knee in the defeat. Now, reports state the team fears the speedster has suffered a serious injury and could potentially be out for the rest of the campaign.

Courtland Sutton being lost for the rest of the season would be a massive blow for the Broncos

Before he left the game Sutton hauled in three receptions for 66 yards on six targets. He blew up during his second year with Denver in 2019, earning Pro Bowl honors after catching 72 balls for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns. If he indeed is lost for the season, Denver’s No. 1 receiving option will be off the table, which would be catastrophic.

To make matters worse, Lock was seen in a sling during his postgame press conference on Sunday in Pittsburgh. His status moving forward is completely up in the air. Missing both players for any kind of time is the last thing Fangio could have ever wanted to come his way.

With Lock out of action on Sunday, backup quarterback Jeff Driskel took over the offense. While he had success at times moving the chains, he also struggled and saw multiple throws sail on him. He finished the day throwing for 256 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

The Broncos are now 0-2 on the year, but even more bad news could be on the way once test results come in for both Lock and Sutton.
