Week 3 is always a pivotal moment in the NFL schedule, with 2-0 teams trying to pull away, and 0-2 teams simply trying to survive.

After going 8-8 in the NFL’s opening week, I apologized and vowed to be better. We keep our promises around here. After 14-2, I’m looking good going into Week 3. Let’s keep those vibes.

Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3)

This is a weird game. Miami (0-2) has lost to Buffalo and New England, and been in both contests. The Jaguars (1-1) actually beat the Colts and barely lost to the Titans. However, the Dolphins have more talent and if Ryan Fitzpatrick doesn’t throw a ton of picks (HUGE if) Miami should win.

Pick: Miami 30, Jacksonville 27

Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons (-3.5)

Another odd one (sense a theme, yet?). The Falcons (0-2) can’t play defense but the offense looks great. This is good news, considering the Bears (2-0) have Mitchell Trubisky. Atlanta won’t score 35+ like last week, but it gets a win at home here to keep the season alive.

Pick: Atlanta 26, Chicago 20

Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5)

This is Last Chance Saloon for the Eagles (0-2). Philadelphia has stunk, but luckily for the home fans, the Bengals (0-2) can’t block, can’t run and can’t play defense. If Cincinnati pulls the upset, there’s going to be some ugly talk radio on Monday morning.

Pick: Philadelphia 31, Cincinnati 20

Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)

In theory, the Steelers (2-0) should lay waste to the Texans (0-2). However, Pittsburgh has this fun way of playing down to opponents. Additionally, while Houston isn’t good, it also has played the Chiefs and Ravens. It can only get easier.

Pick: Pittsburgh 27, Houston 24
