Las Vegas Raiders (2-0) at New England Patriots (1-1), 1:00 pm

Raiders: A year ago, the Silver and Black dropped five of their final six games after a 6-4 start. In those half-dozen contests, Jon Gruden’s team scored a total of 88 points. In two games this season, the Raiders have put exactly 34 points on the board in each of their two victories. That’s a single-game figure that they never reached in 2019.

Patriots: A year ago, Bill Belichick’s team gave up the fewest total yards and fewest points. The Patriots also surrendered a league-low 13 TD passes while totaling an NFL-high 25 interceptions. But on Sunday night at Seattle, they watched Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson throw for five scores. Can the Raiders have similar success?

San Francisco 49ers (1-1) at New York Giants (0-2), 1:00 pm

49ers: San Francisco’s defensive front will be down Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas the remainder of the year. So what does that mean for coordinator Robert Saleh’s run defense? A year ago, the Niners were a mediocre 17th in the NFL in rushing defense in 2019 and is off to a shaky start this season. But will they be truly tested on Sunday?

Giants: With Saquon Barkley gone for the rest of the season, the Giants recently added former Falcons’ running back Devonta Freeman (via Nick Shook of NFL.com). Second-year quarterback Daniel Jones may have more put on his shoulders. But he’s already turned over the ball four times this season and has 27 turnovers in 15 NFL games.
