Army offensive lineman headbutts coach who is almost knocked off his feet (Video)
An Army offensive lineman got a little overzealous with his emotions and headbutted one of his coaches who looked like he took a punch from Deontay Wilder.
Football is a physical game. But it’s best when the physicality is kept between the sidelines and, you know, doesn’t involve players headbutting their own coaches — who aren’t wearing helmets.
Army senior offensive lineman Mike Johnson came off the field with a lot of emotion and it got the better of him when he delivered a headbutt to one of his coaches when he came to the sideline. Johnson is listed at 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds.
Don’t headbutt anyone, especially if they aren’t wearing a helmet
The coach was left wobbly like he just took a haymaker from heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder, Jr. on the chin and had to regain his composure. It was an accident, and I’m sure, if there was audio, we would have heard No. 59 profusely apologizing for misinterpreting things.
But why would he think his coach was coming to give him an agreed-upon-headbutt?
Under no circumstance would be headbutting anyone without a helmet make sense. It doesn’t make sense when both are wearing helmets either.
I have a headache just watching this clip a few times and am going to take a handful of ibuprofen just in case. For the coach on the receiving end, that’s definitely going to leave a mark. Hopefully, he’ll be okay and won’t be in the concussion protocol after a nasty head-to-helmet collision.
