Georgia football’s offense was bad in the first half vs. Arkansas football.
Dawg Nation is absolutely panicking about the horrendous state of the Georgia football offense.
Georgia entered play as the No. 4 team in the land, and the Dawgs will not be ranked that high this time next week. With D’Wan Mathis getting his first career start at quarterback, it was so bad he was benched in favor of Stetson Bennett, who has gone from No. 4 to No. 1 on the Georgia quarterback depth chart in a matter of weeks. The defense is good, but my goodness gracious.
JT Daniels needs to be medically cleared soon because this is terrible.
Jake Fromm left Georgia after three years for the 2020 NFL Draft. The Dawgs won the SEC East each year he was the starting quarterback. Upon his departure from the program, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart dipped into the transfer quarterback market twice with Jamie Newman and JT Daniels. Well, Newman opted out and Daniels isn’t medically cleared yet. This is a nightmare.
Stetson Bennett enters game at QB with over 10 minutes left in first half. Georgia gets called for illegal formation on the play.

Quite the mediocre start for both LSU and Georgia.

Buddy, Georgia looks real bad.

Georgia landed two highly sought grad transfer QBs in addition to a pair of 4-star signees in consecutive recruiting classes and is currently relying on Stetson Bennett IV in the first half of the first game.

Give a kid 1Q to play in a new offense then gets pulled. I like Stetson Bennett but I feel bad for Mathis... gonna be tough for him to get confidence back going forward

Let’s remember... this was just the 1st quarter for UGA! New QB, new OC, revamped oline! They will get it together, Gotta be able to run the ball better @UGAAthletics @PuntandPass @UGAfootballLive

Georgia, what is you doing, baby?
— Isaiah Hole (@isaiahhole) September 26, 2020
Georgia, what are you doing today?

Good Lord, Georgia.

I'd hate to see how bad Jamie Newman was if he wasn't going to start for Georgia (like some tried to sell after he opted out).
— SEC Mike (@MichaelWBratton) September 26, 2020
Can he opt back in after the season already started?
The Georgia game is starting to feel like the loss to South Carolina last year. Dawgs are lost on offense. #UGAvsARK

Georgia trotting out what would, in theory, have been its fourth-string QB.
— Pat Forde (@ByPatForde) September 26, 2020
You know it's bad for Georgia when fans wish they could have Jake Fromm back under center.

Georgia won’t be favored in its home opener vs. the Auburn Tigers next week. The Dawgs can’t even score a touchdown on the road vs. the Arkansas Razorbacks. This is the worst thing to happen to Georgia football since second-and-26. Arkansas was expected to win a game or two this season and they have a shot at upsetting Georgia at home in Week 1. This is so embarrassing.
How can anybody on Georgia look at themselves in the mirror after this first-half disaster?
