Auburn and Kentucky are playing what some might consider a football game
I will not call this a college football game, however. A turn of events that seemingly went against the Kentucky Wildcats was corrected by an all-time makeup call, because evidently SEC officials have time to check Twitter in between plays.
To recap, here’s what we know. First, Kentucky was robbed of an obvious touchdown when their running back broke the plane with literally half his body. Upon review, the officials stood with the call on the field, which was clearly wrong.
Here’s how the first half of the Kentucky-Auburn ended.

Kentucky got robbed! Come on refs, I need those points. https://t.co/D3SsmXJWqG
On the next play, Kentucky QB Terry Wilson made an all-time bad decision from the one yard-line, throwing across his body right to an Auburn defender. On first look, this was a disastrous turn of events for Kentucky, as the Tigers returned the interception for a touchdown. Here’s literally all of it, if you can handle it.
Not so fast my friends! Upon further review, the officials called a personal foul on the interception return, taking points off the board for Auburn. They still got the ball, but were unable to score.
To review:

- Kentucky run that appeared to be a TD called short of the goal line
- Kentucky throws 100-yard pick six
- Auburn TD taken off board because of targeting during INT return
- Halftime: Auburn 8, Kentucky 7
I can’t keep up. You can’t keep up. ESPN’s scoreboard can’t keep up.
Even ESPN's scoreboard can't keep up with how quickly Auburn/Kentucky just swung. pic.twitter.com/ZO5n1X6coo

So, to recap, the score was 8-7 Auburn at the half. None of this happened, essentially. SEC officials would’ve been better off ending the first half about six minutes earlier than anticipated. Instead, we got this embarrassment.
Refs are the best, aren’t they?
