Bijan Robinson tried to hurdle a defender and landed on his head in scary fall (Video)

Texas football’s Bijan Robinson tried to hurdle a player and it was bad.
Perhaps Bijan Robinson would like a mulligan on his hurdle attempt on Saturday afternoon?
The Texas Longhorns freshman running back tried to hurdle Texas Tech Red Raiders linebacker Jacob Morgenstern on one of his runs and it went over terribly. This right here is why hurdling an opponent is not the best idea. Morgenstern hit an airborne Robinson mid-hurdle. As Robinson hit the turf, he had his body contorted in a way that makes your back hurt just watching it.
I don’t think we’ll see Bijan Robinson try to hurdle someone any time soon.
With the Big 12 wide open after the rival Oklahoma Sooners’ Week 4 road loss to the Kansas State Wildcats, Texas might finally be back this year. If they can navigate the Big 12 nine-game, round-robin gauntlet with one or fewer losses, the Longhorns will get to Arlington and play for a conference championship. The winner of the Big 12 title bout usually makes the four-team field.
Though the Longhorns have a Heisman Trophy contender at quarterback in Sam Ehlinger and a great head coach in Tom Herman, it’ll be awfully hard for Texas to win those tight ball games without their freshman phenom running back. They are counting on him to give them balance on the offensive side of the ball this year. The last thing they need is for him to get hurt hurdling.
Texas Tech is giving the ‘Horns all they can handle in Lubbock in Week 4. If Texas were to fall to the Red Raiders, this seriously jeopardizes the Power 5 conference’s overall viability of getting a team into the playoff. Somebody could emerge as this year’s Baylor Bears, but a Texas defeat in Week 4 means the Red River Rivalry is a College Football Playoff elimination game. That’s crazy, y’all.
When you leave your feet, this is the kind of stuff that can unfortunately happen to you.
