There’s something seriously wrong with Carson Wentz’s decision making

Wentz came into the game with four interceptions on the season. What’s wrong with a fifth?

Doug Pederson is tired of taking questions regarding Wentz’s lack of development. The 27-year-old quarterback hasn’t been the same since reaching MVP form just a few short seasons ago. However, injuries are primarily to blame for that regression. The point has to be raised: Will Wentz ever reach those heights again?

This is a fine play by the Bengals defense. DJ Reader tipped he ball at the line of scrimmage, and Logan Wilson made a diving catch for the interception. Simple enough.

That doesn’t tell the entire story, though. Wentz was attempting to throw into triple coverage, hoping to find Desean Jackson on a crossing route. While Wentz’s lack of weapons cannot be understated, the fact he assumes he can throw through defenders is concerning for an Eagles team that can’t afford turnovers at this point.

0-2 is 0-2, and teams that lose the turnover differential typically lose the game. Wentz has problems with accuracy, decision-making and even listening to his coaching staff. His contract isn’t worth the potential at this point, unless thing turn around fast.

Carson Wentz played so bad in Week 2 that the fake Eagles crowd booed him. dark. Next
