New York, New York. It was an ugly Sunday for the Giants and Jets.

A total of 11 teams entered Week 3 with 2-0 records. That includes the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens, who will square off Monday night in a clash of AFC powers. It also meant that there were 11 clubs that were 0-2. On Thursday night at Jacksonville, the Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season. As for the rest as well as the undefeated, it was another interesting Sunday around the league.

The Jets were basically inept in their first two games via lopsided losses to the Bills and 49ers. Now the club headed to Indianapolis and it was more of the same. It proved to be a forgettable afternoon for quarterback Sam Darnold, who threw one touchdown pass but was picked off three times – two of those interceptions returned for scores – and was also tackled for a safety. Adam Gase’s club finished the afternoon with just 260 total yards.

It’s been a rough start to the Joe Judge Era in East Rutherford. And with running back Saquon Barkley done for the season, the team was looking for recently-acquired Devonta Freeman to add a spark as the team took on the battered 49ers. But he and his new team were limited to just 66 yards on the ground on 15 attempts and New York had the ball for just 20:16. For the third straight week, quarterback Daniel Jones committed a pair of turnovers.

0-3. Previous: . Atlanta Falcons. 30. team. 44.

Dan Quinn’s club squandered an opportunity to get back to the .500 mark last week at Dallas was back home on Sunday against the Bears. The Falcons got on the board first via a one-yard TD pass from Matt Ryan to tight end Hayden Hurst and owned a 26-10 lead in the fourth quarter. But it would be déjà vu all over again as Chicago scored the final 20 points of the game and Atlanta found yet another way to squander a double-digit lead.

29. team. 45. . 0-3. Previous: . Denver Broncos

Off to a 0-2 start for the second straight year, the Broncos turned to quarterback Jeff Driskel in place of injured Drew Lock as Denver hosted the Buccaneers. Vic Fangio’s team looked out of sorts and the Tampa pass rush had a lot to do with that as the club allowed six sacks. That means Broncos’ signal-caller have been dropped a combined 13 times the last two weeks. The team managed only 226 total yards, including a disappointing 42 on the ground.
