The biggest game of the season takes place on Monday Night Football: the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Baltimore Ravens.
Monday Night Football will not only feature the two best teams in the AFC, but two of the top quarterbacks in the NFL right now and for years to come. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs hit the road to face Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
Last week, the Chiefs were handed a curveball once they discovered that the Los Angeles Chargers were not starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor, but sixth-overall selection Justin Herbert, due to the veteran dealing with a chest injury. The rookie out of Oregon impressed in the first half, but the Chiefs bounced back to send the game in overtime, which was clinched by a 58-yard field goal by Harrison Butker. Mahomes, as per usual, rose to the occasion, as he completed 27-of-42 pass attempts for 302 yards and two touchdowns against Los Angeles.
As for the Ravens, they were able to easily defeat the Houston Texans 33-16. Jackson didn’t have to pass the ball much against Houston, mostly because their rushing attack was dominant. Jackson, Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins ran for a total of 230 yards and a touchdown. Expect the Ravens to do the same against Kansas City, who surrendered183 rushing yards to the Chargers.
