Tampa Bay Lightning championship parade: Date, start time, route

Tampa Bay Lightning championship parade: Date, start time, route.
Looks like we’re going to be (maybe) having our first victory parade during the pandemic and how this is set to go down is anyone’s guess. One thing we do know is there will be a parade since the winning team is from Florida which is a state that’s traditionally a wee bit lax with the COVID-19 protocols.
The last time the Tampa Bay Lightning brought a Stanley Cup back home it was in 2004 and the current mayor, Jane Castor, described it as a “really a magical moment.” That’s part of the reason why she’s itching to host another one, despite the world hitting 1 million dead from the virus.
Oh, and here’s the kicker. Looks like there will be more than just one celebration according to Castor.
“We definitely will have a celebration,” she said (h/t WTSP). “And probably a number of celebrations all over the city. Just so we as a community can say thank you to the Lightning, to the players, and the organization as well for all that they have done.”
She did promise safety measures but didn’t reveal what those might be.
Tampa Bay Lightning championship parade details
We don’t know the exact details of the parade just yet but we will update once those details have been set.
In the meantime, congrats to the Tampa Bay Lightning on winning the 2020 Stanley Cup!
