A total of eight people within the Tennessee Titans organization has tested positive for the coronavirus, which is concerning news for the rest of the NFL.

Some downright troubling news has arrived out of Tennessee and it no doubt should worry Roger Goodell and the rest of the NFL. That’s because on Tuesday, news broke that three players on the Tennessee Titans have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Additionally, five personnel members have also tested positive, bringing the franchise’s total to eight. Because of that, Tennessee has decided to suspend activities immediately. The Vikings, who faced the Titans in Week 3, are taking similar measures.

The Titans and Vikings shutting down activities due to positive COVID-19 tests surely is alarming

After Tuesday’s news broke, the Titans wasted zero time in releasing a statement, saying they’re taking all the necessary precautions.

“Out of the abundance of caution, the organization has decided to work remotely today as we follow NFL protocols related to the virus,” Tennessee said in a team release. “Several tests have come back positive and (we) are working through the process of confirming them. We will have more information tomorrow.”

The two teams played in an absolute thriller on Sunday, with Tennessee sneaking away with a 31-30 victory to improve to 3-0 on the campaign. Minnesota’s nightmare 2020 continued, with them now 0-3 on the year.

Obviously, this latest update on Tennessee’s positive tests is worrisome for both organizations. The last thing anyone wants is for there to be a wide spread of the virus among players and front office members, which is why both teams have quickly decided to shut down all team activities until further notice. Everyone will undoubtedly be anxious to find out more in the coming days.
