What to watch for in Game 1 between the Athletics and White Sox

You can expect plenty of runs to be on the way in this Game 1 tilt, as both the Athletics and White Sox feature plenty of star power in their lineups. For Chicago, which finished second in the AL Central after going 35-25, they’ve been led offensively by the hot bats of Jose Abreu and Eloy Jimenez.

Abreu had a stellar regular season, hitting .317 with 19 homers and 60 RBI. Those are some incredible numbers. In addition to Abreu, fans also loved seeing Jimenez at the dish, as he hit 14 dingers and added 41 RBI.

For the Athletics, first baseman Matt Olson also enjoyed a nice year. Olson hit 14 homers and added 41 RBI. Jake Lamb has also been a welcome addition at the hot corner. He was picked up late in the season and has batted .267, with three homers and nine RBI in 13 games.
