5. In a high-scoring affair, Kenny Golladay notches phenomenal numbers

You drafted Kenny Golladay as your WR1 (maybe WR2) for your fantasy team and then you sat on your sofa upset that he missed the first two weeks of the season. Let’s hope he got that injury out of way early on rather than to see it show up in your postseason.

Golladay is in the prime of his career, has a more than capable passer in Matthew Stafford supplying him the ball, and the Lions are often playing from behind. This is a potent recipe for fantasy goodness. And, he’s the undisputed WR1 for the Detroit Lions.

A possible shootout looms with the New Orleans Saints this weekend. The Lions rank 26th in points allowed during this new season whereas the Saints rank 27th. In your best Daniel Day-Lewis voice, you can declare, “There will be points.”

This game will be played in Detroit, and that will potentially allow for the Lions to keep it competitive. Vegas oddsmakers forecast an over/under of 54 points, so you can expect touchdowns to be scored. Both teams will pass the football because that’s how they’re hardwired, Also, there’s a reasonable possibility the Lions will play from behind.
