The Seahawks and the Bears are among the NFL’s 5 best bets in Week 4.

The NFL season is starting to settle in as the calendar flips to October. Some teams already have designs of going on a playoff run after fast starts while others have seen their odds plummet with sluggish performances.

This column has certainly fallen into the former category after a rocking 12-3 start to the season, including a perfect 5-0 last week. Let’s take a look at this week’s five best bets in the NFL, beginning with the Denver Broncos. All lines are courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook.

5. NFL Week 4 Best Bets: Denver Broncos -3

It might seem odd to see an 0-3 team that made a mid-game quarterback change listed as a best bet, but that is the case this week with the Broncos. Denver benched Jeff Driskel in the middle of their loss to the Broncos for Brett Rypien and head coach Vic Fangio still isn’t sure who will start this week against the New York Jets, but whoever is under center could see Phillip Lindsay come back to bolster the running game.

That will help against a Jets’ team that is in complete disarray and could see Adam Gase get fired if they lose this game. Sam Darnold is regressing before our eyes and the Jets are riddled with injuries. On a short week, the Jets could be down both offensive tackles, their top three wide receivers, their starting running back and a starting cornerback.

To make matters worse the Jets haven’t been competitive at all, getting blown out in all three of their games as it looks like the players have quit on Gase. Denver has fought hard in every game and they are laying only three points, a number they should easily cover against the hapless Jets.
